Description
Includes a c1950 Star of the East Quilt measuring 72 by 80 inches. It is hand and machine pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied pink binding. In good condition with a few small discolorations and minor edge wear. Very nice hand quilting. Along with a scrappy feed sack Lone Star quilt measuring 83 by 83 inches. It is hand pieced and hand quilted flannel sheet inside is used for batting, and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied off white binding. Believed to be a mother-daughter quilt. There are 2 sets of initials and dates including AVM 1893 and WHM 1925 1961 in gold Perl cotton floss, hand embroidered. It is in good condition with overall edge wear and some discolorations.
