Description
Antique c1870 Simple Cross Quilt. Measures 63″ x 77″. It is comprised of 56 Simple Cross blocks, 9” x 9”, set straight, 7x with 28 pieced blocks and 28 alternating brown print squares. There is 3″ border on two sides. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting with an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with applied binding. Possibly 2 borders were removed, pink print binding is original, the indigo print binding however, while 19th century, may be a replacement. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Condition report:
It is in fair condition with some fading, two applique squares have fabric deterioration, and there is edge wear along one side. US Shipping $30
