Description
Group of Vintage and Antique Doilies, Coasters, and More. There are about 180 antique and vintage doilies in this lot. There are various sets and designs that are featured with silk, linen, lace, and cotton being the main fabrics used to create these pieces. A set that is stunning to look at is a collection of thin silk doilies with the classic Blue Willow pattern from China and they are hand painted. These pieces have fringe on their edges and small cutwork along the edges and aside from small spots they are in good condition. There is another set of doilies with a gold scalloped edge with gold thread highlighting the elephant and plants that decorates the center. The doilies that are included in this lot features extensive embroidery, scalloped edges, florals, thin/sheer fabric, lace edges and more. The main condition concern for these pieces are the small spots and toning that are present on several pieces in the lot. The sizes ranges for the pieces that are included but the majority are white with a few being a pale pink color or toned to a tan shade. Royal Society embroidery, drawn work, metallic thread, and more are used. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
