Description
Pair of Vintage Linen Tablecloths with Needlelace. There is a vintage linen tablecloth with needle lace and cutwork throughout the entire piece. It measures 56″x80″ and there are areas with embroidered curved lines and flora. Extensive cutwork can particularly be seen around the center of the tablecloth. The center is a large oval with embroidery and cutwork in geometric and sinuous shapes. The needle lace along the edges and center has similar patterns of curved lines with a change in thickness. There are several spots on the piece, toning, a faint vinegar smell, and a slight tear by the edge of the center. The other piece that is included is a tablecloth that varies between needle lace and linen squares. The edges of the piece are made from slightly scalloped needle lace with flowers at the center of each arch. The linen squares feature embroidered flowers at the center and squares grouped together at the corners of the border that outlines it. The needlepoint areas have a similar pattern that is included with triangles on the sides of the border as well as squares on the corners of them. It is in good condition and it measures 46″x62″. Army navy cloth is used alongside insertion lace and drawn work. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
