Description
A collection of 23 ladies’ handkerchiefs, predominantly made of cotton, showcasing diverse styles from mid-20th century to contemporary. The lot includes two sets of two handkerchiefs, new in their original plastic packaging, explicitly marked “Ladies HANDKERCHIEFS,” “100% Soft cotton,” and “Beautifully embroidered” with floral designs. The remaining loose handkerchiefs feature a variety of printed floral motifs, including roses, violets, and other flowers, alongside embroidered details. Decorative edges include machine lace, cut-work lace, crochet trim, and scalloped finishes. Distinctive examples within the collection comprise two cut-work lace handkerchiefs marked “U.S. CAPITOL Washington, D.C.” with a Capitol building silhouette, rendered on green and yellow grounds, and one pink lotus-shaped item.
