Description
Sarah Johnson Quilt measures 81″x71″. Medallion with sawtooth stars and applique motifs, framed by small leaves and a zigzag frame. The balance of the quilt are additional sawtooth stars with scattered applique blocks and many small scale motifs. Flying geese border and fussy cut striped outer border. Comprised of many 19th century reproduction prints. It is machine pieced, hand appliqued, and machine quilted. Hand embroidered initials E.R in one block The quilt is in excellent condition with excellent workmanship, with a few small spots noted in photos. The quilt is signed and dated 1999 by Ellen Rosenbach on label on the reverse. Please see the About This Auction for her story! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
