Description
John Hewson Repro Center Medallion Quilt. This quilt is comprised of a large center square reproduction a John Hewson floral design. The center is surrounded by 8 concentric border including dog tooth, various small square blocks, and an undulating feather garland with bows in a wide variety of reproduction fabrics. It is machine pieced, machine appliqued and machine quilted. It measures 83×84″. The quilt is in excellent condition with excellent workmanship. The quilt is signed and dated “Ellen Rosenbach 1-27-13” on the reverse. Please see the About This Auction for her story! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Updated 9/18 - From Ellen, \"this was made from a piece of vintage polished cotton I got from a relative\'s mother who sewed. I created the setting and quilt around it. It reminded me of John Hewson (I think the palette maybe?).\"
