Description
Appliqued Papercuts And Plenty Quilt with William Morris Fabric. This quilt was created with William Morris reproduction fabrics, mostly black mourning prints and florals. It measures 72×72″. The design consists of 9 different large applique blocks found in Papercuts And Plenty by Elly Sienkiewicz. Each design is cut from a lighter floral fabric and applied to a dark colored ground. There is a small border of on point squares surround the applique blocks. It is hand pieced, hand appliqued and machine quilted, with a dark printed cotton reverse. There is a label embroidered at the bottom with “Ellen S. Rosenbach May 30, 2002.” The quilt is in very good condition with some shrinking. Please see the About This Auction for her story!
