Description
2, 19th Century Gold Filled Watch Chains and Mechanical Pencils. The lot includes a pair of late 19th century gold filled watch with gold filled mechanical pencils. Featuring a 13.5” long gold filled watch chain consisting of alternating solid bar and chain link stations with spring ring and watch clip closures at either end. As well as a 3.28” long narrow gold filled non functional mechanical pencil with stamped accents and a top capitol-like finial set with a red/orange glass gem. The middle section slides down to reveal the pencil tip and it is engraves with script HHB initials. They are in fair condition with general age related wear. Also included is a 12.5” long gold filled watch chain consisting of alternating oblong wire and round chain links with a spring ring and watch clip at either end. It also includes a 3.76” long gold filled functional (in need of lead) mechanical pencil with textured accents. It operates by grasping the narrow tip of the pencil while twisting the body. They are in fair condition with general age related wear, a broken spring ring, and a missing decorative sheath on the body of the pencil. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
