7 Swatch Books – 19th to 20th Century – Silk Jacquards. There are about 670 pieces within the 7 self assembled swatch books that are featured. A book has silk jacquard swatches from 1812 and it contains about 60 pieces. There are florals, cut velvet, and geometrics in the book. With about 210 pieces, there is a book with swatches from the 1890s. The book consists of French silk jacquards with florals, stripes, plaids, and geometrics. The pieces inside of this book range in size and they are bursting in color. Swatches from 1890 are included in another book with about 70 pieces. There are silk moires, florals, geometrics, and stripes along these pages. Though it is a small book, each speaks for itself in a swatch book consisting of 15 pieces. The swatches are from 1920-1930 and they are silk jacquards, florals, and paisleys. the bigger books of this lot are next. There is a book with about 100 swatches from 1885. Stripes, plaids, and geometrics are all featured through these pages. Another book has about 90 pieces from 1890-1930 and they are a mixture of silk and cotton pieces. Florals, paisleys, geometrics, conversational, and fruits are all represented. The last book has swatches from the 1890s. These weaves and suiting are about 120 pieces in this book. Each piece has a muted color and a significant texture to them. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
