Center medallion is in imitation of a sampler featuring a house in the center, a large pot of flowers below the house, and various motifs of birds, trees, flowers and animals. Double cross-stitch lines form a frame around the sampler; outer border is an undulating vine with leaves and flowers. It is machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. There is a medium loft cotton batting and an off white reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by hand. It is in good condition with only minor discoloration. The blue dots for quilting are still visible. And the quilter did not hide her knots, they are evident on the back.
