Description
Antique c1860 Tulip Variation Quilt measuring 94 by 95 inches. It is comprised of 9 blocks, 20.5 by 20.5 inches. Set straight 3 by 3 with a 6 1/2 inch swag and bud border, a 7 inch solid white border and a 2.5 inch green and white sawtooth border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front. It is in poor condition with toning, spots, minor edge wear, and the Turkey red fabric is starting to wear, to flowers have fabric torn. It is another original design that could possibly have been inspired by Tulip or maybe an Iris flower. Note that the green is starting to lose some of its yellow coloration with areas of blue peeking out. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
