Description
Antique c1900 Virginia Worm Fence Quilt measuring 69 by 76 inches. It is comprised of 12 blocks, 12 by 12 inches, set on point and staggered, 2 by 5, with 5 inch solid clarinet red sashing and solid orange cornerstones. Partial blocks are used as setting triangles. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is a medium loft cotton batting and a pale blue reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, applied by machine. It is in good condition with some fading and other discolorations. The workmanship is primitive and has many thread tails poking out the top from the quilting In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
