Description
Three Vintage c1950 Dresses. The lot consists of three vintage c1950 dresses. Featured are two vintage c1950 dresses and one vintage c1950 matching skirt set. The skirt set was made by Edith Small with imported fabric for Irving in Grosse Point, Detroit, Michigan. The skirt and jacket are union made and it is a dark denim blue color. The jacket is waist length with three quarter sleeves with three buttons down the front and a snap button at the collar. The buttons are the same fabric as the jacket itself which has silk lining in a lighter shade. There are buttons on the opposite side of the chest in brown that in on a striped fabric. The skirt stops below the knees and there is a zipper on the side to keep it secure on the wearer. It is the same fabric and color as the jacket. The skirt is in good condition with a small hole near the waist while the jacket is missing a button, has toning inside along the pits, and it has lining ripping along the neckline. Laid flat, the skirt has the following measurements: Length: 29″ and Waist: 15″. The jacket has the following measurements: Length: 17″, Shoulders: 16″, Bust: 19″, Waist: 15″ and Sleeves: 18.5″. Included as well is an off white linen short sleeve dress with pearl like beads all around, giving it an embellished appearance. There is a lace netting along the front and back of the neck and an acetate lining of the dress. It is made by Milton Sanders and some of the beads are grouped together to accentuate the neckline. They are all in the same vertical position until we look at the neck and shoulders to see them moving in a diagonal position. The dress is in good condition with some toning along the underarms and a zipper on the side. Laid flat, it has the following measurements: Length: 39.5″, Waist: 12.5″, Shoulders: 15″, and Bust: 16″. Additionally included is a red t-shirt dress with a wrap collar that features a dark red button. It has an abstract floral print with some purple feathers and black wavy lines. The dress has short sleeves, a zipper on the back, and it is in good condition. Laid flat, the dress has the following measurements: Length: 41″, Waist: 20.5″, Shoulders: 16″, and Bust: 21″.
