Description
Three Embroidered Textile Strips. The lot consists of three embroidered textile strips. Featured are three embroidered textile strips that feature flowers on varying backdrops. There is a red embroidered panel that features intricate designs. It is South Asian and the embroidery on display is in various colors such as yellow, red, green, and blue. There are small reflective surfaces at the center of the flowers and on the sides. There are thick bands that run along the sides and ends which are connected to one another. The embroidery that is featured is also in white and black with these colors primarily working to define the patterns that are already in place. The panel is 7″x52″ and it is in good condition. The middle of the piece shows that these were two separate pieces that were eventually joined together. An additional piece that is included is a dark brown fabric panel with embroidered flowers and leaves in a metallic thread that was previously green but has turned to a rusty gold color. A fringe is attached on one side with various loops that are featured on the trim. On the opposing side, there is a strip of brown fabric that stretches above the main embroidery that is on display. The strip is divided into seven different panels with some repetition. It is 9.5″x60.5″ with a 2″ fringe attached. It is in good/fair condition as there are small holes, toning, fading, and some small spots. Additionally included is a large embroidered piece that has flowers and sinuous abstract lines with the piece being Eastern European. The threading is green, red, blue pink, and yellow with some geometric shapes and fringe. The formerly white background has toned to a light brown hue. It is in fair condition with loose threads, toning, small spots, and more. It is 10.5″x100″ with a 2″ fringe. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
