Description
Antique c1820s Infant’s Gown. The lot contains an antique Georgian period infant’s gown in black and white. Featured is an antique white with black dash-line stripes printed cotton infant gown. It has long sleeves, a square neckline, and waistband ties. The skirt is extra long with three rows of trimming at the bottom. There is additional trim on the sleeves as well. It is possible that the gown was used for a christening and it is hand and machine made with the original glass button on the back. It is in good condition.
