Description
Antique c1870 Ohio Star Quilt – Finished in the late 20th Century, with earlier fabrics in the quilt top, measures 91×93″. It is comprised of 41 Ohio Star blocks, 9.5×9.5″, set on point, and staggered 5 by 5, with 3.5″ beige print sashing and quarter square triangle cornerstones, and brown print setting triangles. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Poly/cotton batting and a pieced print reverse. The edge is finished with an applied purple binding. It is in good condition with minor discoloration and a small split in a block. There are 2 contemporary yo yos applied to the quilt and may be covering additional imperfections. The consignor purchased this from an individual who professionally quilted antique quilt tops. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
