19th century wooden printed celluloid ladies glove box featuring a central scene of three young ladies seated on a nosegay of violets against a green ground. Decorated with floral motifs on the sides, the box includes an ornate closure and a pleated aqua silk lining. The box measures 13.5 x 4 x 3 inches and is in fair/poor condition, showing peeling celluloid, toning, general surface wear, and a shattered lining. Please see the photos for details.
