Description
Group of 19th and early 20th-century ladies items. The lot features a 19th-century cream-colored silk purse measuring 7.5 x 6 inches. It has lily of the valley embroidery, pleated silk trim, seed bead accents, 3.5-inch hand-knotted silk fringe, and a silk lining. The purse is in good condition. Also included is an Edwardian fully-beaded purse measuring 8.5 x 6.5 inches. It features floral and harlequin motifs, a twisted cord handle, and a plum silk lining. It is in fair condition with some areas of missing or loose beadwork. The lot also includes a 19th-century carved bone folding parasol with an intricately carved handle depicting grape motifs and a greyhound’s head. It has etched brass sleeves and a canopy measuring 22.5 inches across, made of black silk with a white silk underside, both with pinked edges. The parasol is in fair condition, with the silk portions shattering throughout. Please see the photos for details. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.
