Description
This antique hat features a large-scale black fine straw crown, adorned with a black velvet band and a wired black velvet bow on the front interwoven with gold brocade ribbon. Accentuating the design are two full black plumes and a beige-pink plume, adding a striking detail. The hat includes a black silk lining and showcases the original label reading ‘Ufland Millinery Co. 616 Fifth Ave New York.’ The condition is consistent with age, displaying some areas of wear on the straw and inside lining. Previously part of a collection that rented to the entertainment industry. Restoration may have done but with period materials and skilled workmanship. Please see the photos for details.
