Description
Antique rust-toned hat featuring a pleated crown, tawny rust feather plume, and three shades of beige and tan silk taffeta ruffled pleats on the underside of the brim. The hat is a perching style with a practical horsehair attachment. It is noted for its detailed craftsmanship and unique design. In very good condition with a few small areas of wear on velvet. Previously part of a collection that rented to the entertainment industry. Restoration may have done but with period materials and skilled workmanship. Please see the photos for details.
