Description
Antique 1910s black velvet medium wide brim hat that is approximately 23 inches. The hat showcases a ring of shiny black feathers circling the brim and is adorned with gray woven cord trim along its top. A large gray feather rosette with fine black feather sprays is complemented by a brooch of gray stones and a layer of black net at the base of the rosette. The underside of the brim features slight fading, while the rest of the hat remains in good condition. Previously part of a collection that rented to the entertainment industry. Restoration may have done but with period materials and skilled workmanship. Please see the photos for details. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.
