Description
Antique hand-colored paper fan featuring intricately carved and pierced bone guards and ribs with silver and gold tone gilding. Guards are adorned with a mother of pearl facing, while the leaf showcases classical 18th century and medieval imagery on both sides, enhanced with gold foil embellishments. Includes a purple tassel, mother of pearl rivet, and gold-toned fleur-de-lis loop. The fan is in fair condition. The guard is a single missing a single piece of mother of pearl facing, a cracked rib, and general wear to the paper leaf. Measures 10 1/2 in x 20 in. Please see the photos for details.
