Antique hand-painted folding fan featuring a narrow hand painted linen leaf with a scene of 18th century courtly men and women relaxing outdoors with gold tone rococo scrollwork accents, signed “L Ponce”. The guards and ribs are crafted from wood with pierced work motifs and ornate hand-painted gold tone scrollwork accents. The fan is in fair condition with frayed edges on the leaf, small splits at the folding junctions Measures 9 1/4 x 16 1/2 inches. Please see the photos for details.
