Description
A petite framed 19th century black needle lace folding fan featuring a hand-painted center medallion with four 18th century women reclining in a pastoral setting, signed Mesteve. The guards and ribs are made of white mother of pearl with a green rhinestone rivet. The fan measures 7 in x 12 in and appears to have a past repair on the guard. It is housed in a golden frame with a rose colored ground, dimensions 11 in x 16 1/2 in x 2 in. The frame shows a scuff on the bottom edge. In good condition. Please see the photos for details.
