Description
Antique folding fan features a handmade bobbin lace leaf, possibly of French origin. A hand-painted center medallion depicting a courtly gentleman collecting a posy of wildflowers for his lover who waits for him. The guards and ribs are crafted from iridescent mother of pearl with painted carved accents, the upper portion of the ribs are made of bone with a celluloid rivet and gold toned loop. The fan is in fair condition and shows areas of toning and spots. As well as several old repairs to the guards Dimensions: 9 1/2 in x 18 in. Please see the photos for details.
