Description
Antique French paper folding fan featuring detailed hand-painted figural and pastoral scenes on both sides of the vellum leaf. Carved bone ribs and guards adorned with silver toned dot inlays, floral carving with gold tone painted accents in several tones of gold, and a rhinestone rivet with a gold-toned metal loop with two ivory silk tassels. Signed Jeanne Brunot and dated 1908. The fan measures 9 1/4 in x 18 in and is in good/fair condition with slight wear to the folding junctions of the leaf, slight toning, and some wear to the gold painted areas on the guard. Also includes a floral striped silk brocade covered box. Please see the photos for details. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.
