Description
Vintage c1940 Dresden Plate Quilt Measuring 78 by 92 inches. It is comprised of 30 blocks, 13.5 by 13.5 inches, set straight, 5 by 6, with a quadruple border: 1.25 inch light blue, one inch white, one inch blue, 1.25 inch white. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Appears to be a thin blue and white striped sheet used as batting and an off white reverse. The edge is finished with an applied blue binding by hand. The quilt is unique in that it has a blue circle small circle appliquéd in the center of each plate and a petal shape of blue in each corner creating small flower motifs at each intersection. It is in good condition with storage discoloration and small spots. This is a quilt that you can soak and restored to its original beauty.
