Description
Antique c1850 Applique Tulip Quilt measuring 75 by 90 inches. It is comprised of 20 pieced and appliquéd Tulip blocks, 9.5 by 9.5 inches, set on point, 4 by 5 with solid white alternating squares and setting triangles. There is a 1.25 inch inner indigo resist print border with an appliquéd white undulating vine and a 9 inch white border with blue print undulating vine and leaves and Turkey red print flowers. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied indigo resist print binding, by hand. The quilt is in fair condition with some spots and overall deterioration in the Turkey red fabric. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
