Description
Being unable to find this pattern identified, we are calling it an Antique c1840 Sawtooth Triangle Quilt with lots of Chintz fabrics. It measures 80 by 98 inches. It is comprised of 152 Sawtooth Triangle blocks, set straight, 8 by 19, with brown chintz print setting triangles. Each triangle block is comprised of a 6 inch triangle surrounded on 2 sides with half square triangles, about 1.5 inches. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied chintz fabric binding, by hand. It is in poor condition with most of the deterioration along the border, and in some fold lines. But there is a wonderful variety of chintz prints in this quilt.In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
