Description
5 Pairs of Antique Pillowcases and Covers. The lot includes 5 pairs of 19th century pillowcases and pillow covers. Featuring a pair of square white cotton euro pillowcases each with white embroidered cyclamen flowers and “Good Night” with hand embroidered eyelet trim, they are missing their buttons and have been baste stitched shut. 1 pair of rounded square white linen euro pillow cases with central floral redwork embroidery, a ruched border, and a needle lace trim with milk glass button closures at the back. A pair of rectangular white cotton pillowcases with machine eyelet inserts in a pyramid shape with a slightly ruched hand embroidered eyelet trim with mother of pearl button closures at the back. A pair of heavily embellished euro white cotton pillow covers each with soutache embroidered B monogram, a wide hand embroidered eyelet border with a floral hand embroidered eyelet trim. As well as a pair of rectangular white cotton pillow covers with each featuring large embroidered ends consisting of a pair of cherubs holding vines from a bouquet in a draw work vase perched on a scrollwork bar. The group is in good/fair condition with some of the pieces having toning, spots, storage line discoloration, a musty odor, and tears. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
