2 Antique Quilts – Irish Chain and Album. Includes a c1880s Chimney Sweep Album Block quilt, 25 blocks set 5 x 5, with many signatures and a great variety of fabrics including a centennial Dolly Varden print, double pink print sashing, hand pieced and hand quilted in a Baptist fan pattern, thin cotton batting, white cotton reverse, measuring 77″ x 85″, in poor condition with deterioration and fading to many fabrics, great study piece. Also includes an antique c1850s Double Irish Chain quilt, with turkey red and indigo prints, hand appliqued to a white cotton, hand pieced and hand quilted, thick cotton batting, white cotton reverse, measuring 93″ x 95″, in poor condition with fading and deterioration to fabrics, heaving staining, spots, small holes and edge wear. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author. In overall good condition minor spots and/or discolorations, please see the photographs for imperfections.
