2 Antique Crazy Quilts. Includes a c1910s small crazy quilt comprised of 24 blocks set 4 x 6, in a variety of cotton, rayon and silk solid and print fabrics, hand assembled with colorful thread onto a feedsack foundation and tied with blue thread to a blue rayon backing with a pleated edge, measuring 53″ x 77″, in poor condition with shattering of silk, fabric deterioration and separation from feedsack, storage discoloration to backing and edging and overall wear. Also includes a c1910s double-sided cut-down crazy quilt comprised of 16 full crazy quilt blocks set 4 x 4 plus a partial row of cut-down blocks on one edge, on the reverse are Four-Patch triangle combination blocks, fabrics include satins, rayons and silks, with a wide eggplant purple border edge, measuring 40″ x 45″, in poor conditions with many shattered and deteriorating fabrics. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author. In overall good condition minor spots and/or discolorations, please see the photographs for imperfections.
