Description
Antique c1850 Square and Sashing Quilt Measuring 83 by 86 inches. Simple yet graphic quilt using 8 inch madder print squares and cornerstones and 4 inch stashing. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. The edges are finished on 3 sides with a brown print fabric applied by hand, and front to back along the top. The bottom has bedpost corners. This quilt was found in Maine. It is in poor condition with overall fading, toning, spots, small holes, tears, and other imperfections. The proceeds for the sale of this quilt will benefit the American Quilt Study Group 2025 annual seminar in Portland Maine this year. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
