Description
Vintage Nancy Page Garden Bouquet Quilt As Desired Quilt measuring 84 by 100 inches. It is comprised of 20 blocks, 10.5 by 10.5 inches, set on point, 4 by 5, with off white alternating solid squares and setting triangles. There is a 4.5 inch off white inner border along 3 sides and an orange 6 inch outer border on 3 sides. The 4th side, along the top, has a 12 inch solid off white border. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and professionally long arm machine quilted. Batting contents is unknown. There is an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied off white cotton fabric bias tape binding. It is in good condition with just a few small spots. Wonderful machine quilting includes scrolling motifs, leaf wreaths, undulating leafy vines, and more. There is a sleeve on the back for hanging. This quilt was part of Mary Kerr’s Quilt As Desired quilt project involving vintage quilt tops being sent to professional machine quilters to finish, there is a label on the reverse.
