Description
Vintage c1980s Hand Embroidered Quilt – Presidents from George Washington to Ronald Reagan. It measures 78 by 100 inches. It is comprised of 42 blocks, about 9 by 11 inches, set straight, 6 by 7, with 2 inch red sashing and blue cornerstones, a 2 inch white inner border and a 2.5 inch blue outer border. It is hand and machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. There is a polyester batting and a solid blue reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. Each block features a black outline hand embroidered portrait of the President, the years he served, the order in which he served, and a likeness of his signature. The bottom corner blocks feature a hand embroidered American flag and the Great Seal. It is in very good condition with just a few small spots. There is a sleeve on the back for hanging.
