Description
Vintage c1930 Grandmothers Flower Garden Quilt measuring 63 by 84 inches. Comprised of 42 Grandmothers Flower Garden rosettes with yellow centers, and 3 rounds of feed sack prints. The rosettes are separated by a double path of muslin hexagons. Partial blocks are used to set the quilt, and there is a 3.5″ off white border. The hexagons measure .75 inches along one side. It is hand and machine pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, and applied by hand. It is in good condition with several small dark spots From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
