Description
Antique c1890 Broken Dishes Quilt measuring 80 by 80 inches. It is comprised of 961 half square triangles, about 2 by 2 inches, set straight, 31 by 31, with a 2 inch chrome yellow print inner border and 8 inch solid red outer border. There is thin cotton batting and a claret zigzag stripe print reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by machine. It is hand and machine pieced, hand quilted. It is in good condition with a few small spots and discolorations. Great fabric library of late 19th century prints.
