Description
Antique c1900 Lost Children Quilt with alternating Framed Square Blocks. Measures 78 by 78 inches. Comprised of 49 blocks, 9.5 by 9.5 inches, set straight, 7 by 7, with a 6 inch double green print border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a mourning stripe print reverse. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back, and applied by hand. It is in good condition with just a few small spots. Color palette is very indicative of a Pennsylvania quilt. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
