Description
Large Group of Vintage Gloves and Hankies. The group includes 11 pairs of vintage gloves, 11 vintage hankies, 2 vintage Royal Society silk embroidered blocks, and 1 vintage linen envelope. The vintage c1950 cotton/nylon gloves come in a mix of opera, three quarter, and standard lengths featuring brands such as Gant Madeleine, Bamberger’s, Fownes, Van Raalte, Complexion by Hansen. They generally range in size from 6 to 8.5 and are in fair condition with some pairs having slight toning, stained fingers, and spots. The 11 vintage hankies (10 cotton, 1 silk) come in a variety of styles and designs including lace edged, embroidery, cut work, and draw work. They range in size from 9.5” x 9.5” to 13.5” x 13.5” and are in fair condition with toning, spots, and discolorations. The 2 Royal Society blocks feature silk embroidery in a mix of fleur de lis and floral motifs. They measure 6 3/4” x 6 3/4” and are in fair condition with light toning and some discoloration. The vintage linen envelope/pouch features hand embroidery and cut work in floral motifs. It measures 7 1/4” x 7 1/4” and is in fair condition with toning and spots.
