Description
Vintage c1940 Martha Washington Flower Garden Quilt measuring 68 by 90 inches. It is comprised of 25 diamond flower rosettes, set on point and staggered, 4 by 7, with partial setting blocks. Each diamond rosette has an orange center, followed by a frame of solid, and then a frame of coordinating print. Each diamond is followed by a solid white frame and surrounded by a yellow garden path. There is a 2.5 inch wide white inner border and a 2.5 inch wide yellow outer border. It is hand and machine pieced and hand quilted. There is a white cotton solid reverse and thin cotton batting. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back on 2 sides, and back brought to the front on 2 sides, and applied by hand. It is in good condition with several small scattered spots.
