Description
Antique c1880 LeMoyne Star Quilt measuring 75 x 86 inches. It is comprised of 30 blocks, 8 x 8 inches, set straight, 5 by 6, with 2.25 inch yellow print sashing and double pink cornerstones. There is an 11 inch double pink border. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a pink and green print bars reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style by hand. Very graphic Pennsylvania quilt, with some earlier fabrics, like the Prussian blue print. It is in good condition with just one spot on a border.
