Description
Antique c1890 Wishing Ring Quilt. The blocks are the yellow rings, and the pink rings are formed with pieced sashing. It measures 79×70 inches. It is comprised of 20 blocks, 9.5×9.5″, set straight, 4 by 5, with 3.5″ pieced pink and green print sashing. There is a 10″ double pink border. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a double pink print reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by hand. It is in good condition with several spots and some age discoloration along the perimeter. A unique pattern, and probably from PA with that color combination!
