Description
5 Antique Cotton Fabrics. Includes Early 19th century chintz textile measuring 76 x 70 inches. It was salvaged from a tied comfort quilt and is hand pieced. The original selvage would’ve been about 24 inches wide. It is in poor condition with several areas of deterioration and holes. Another pieced textile, possibly intended as a quilt back, it is hand pieced white with floral stripes measuring 68 x 66 inches. The original selvage width of the fabric would have been about 24 inches wide. It is in good condition with some fading. Black mourning print measuring 23.5 inches wide selvage width by one yard and 22 inches. The original selvage width only exists in about 16 inches worth of the fabric. There appears to have been some moisture damage to the textile, there are tidal marks. A small floral print that I believe was originally purple 37 x 25 inches. Along with an early 20th century chintz fabric 25 x 50 inches of a large scale floral and pillar print, good condition.
