5 Contemporary Americana Art and Mini Quilts. The group features 6 contemporary patriotic themed art quilts from the Bibbie Aug collection. including 1 small 8 pointed star art quilt by Bobbie Fiser. It is hand appliqued, pieced, and quilted with a thin poly batting. It measures 12” x 15” and has a sleeve with a dowel for hanging. It is also signed by Bobbie Aug and is in good condition. 1 hexagonal shaped art quilt featuring a 6 pointed star at its center in graduated shades of blue. It measures 17” x 15” and is machine pieced with no batting or quilting. It is unsigned and in good condition. 1 American sampler art quilt made by Diane Lindsay in 1991. Featuring 6 patriotic themed blocks in ivory, brown, red, and blue. It is hand pieced and hand quilted and has a thin poly batting. It measures 16.5” x 22” and is in good condition. 1 American eagle printed panel art quilt featuring an American eagle on a striped ground with a blue and white star border. It is machine quilted with a thin poly batting and measures 17.5” x 17”. It has an attached sleeve at the back for hanging and is in good condition. 1 offset hexagon spiral “God Bless America” art quilt featuring red, white, and blue printed cottons in a fun graphic pattern. The American flag heart and phrase are machine embroidered. It is machine pieced and machine quilted with thin poly batting. It measures 21” x 20” and is in good condition. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
