6 Contemporary Christmas Art and Mini Quilts. The group includes 6 art quilts from the Bobbie Aug collection. The group includes 1 winter themed art quilt featuring machine appliqued glittery snowflakes on a blur patchwork ground. It is machine pieced and machine quilted with a poly batting. It measures 26.5” x 37.5” and is in good condition. 1 small Santa themed art quilt featuring an iron on applique primitive country Santa in profile holding a star. It is machine pieced and machine quilted with no batting. It measures 13.5” x 13 1/4”. It also has 2 attached metal rings for hanging and is in good condition. 1 small Christmas art quilt featuring 12 pine tree blocks with a red border by Theresa Fleming Sept. 1992. It is machine pieced and machine quilted with a thin poly batting. It measures 11” x 14 3/4” and has 2 attached rings for hanging. It is also signed by Bobbie and is in good condition. 1 small Christmas art quilt made by Jalinda c1995 featuring a snowman with a pine tree at night. It has many iron on appliques, the piece is machine pieced and machine quilted with a thin poly batting. It measures 10.5” x 13 1/4” and has 2 loops for hanging. In good condition. 1 Christmas tree themed art quilt made by Carla Hale in 1994. Featuring 9 pine tree blocks with a grey nautical star border. It is machine pieced and machine quilted and measures 12” x 12” and is in good condition. 1 Christmas themed art quilt made by JulieAnn Hugs in 1994. It features 6 log cabin blocks with 2 country Santa appliques in the borders. It is machine pieced and machine quilted with a poly batting. It also has a sleeve attached for hanging. It measures 22” x 16” and is in good condition. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
