Description
Vintage c1950 Goblet Quilt measuring 64 by 81 inches. It is comprised of 63 goblet blocks, 6 by 6 inches, set on point, 7 by 9, with solid green setting squares and triangles. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with a solid yellow applied binding. It is in very good condition with no issues noted. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
