Group of 5 Antique 19th and Early 20th Century Textile Swatch Books-Silks. The group includes 5 self-assembled Textile Swatchbooks with a combined total of approximately 285 antique and vintage c1890-1930 Textile Swatch Books in various silk patterns. Includes florals and conversational or novelty prints One book has 1890 French Silk Moires, florals, geometrics, prints and more. Another has 1890-1930 Silk Paisley and Conversational Prints. Another is 1890 French Silk Florals, geometrics, prints, and paisleys. And the last is marked 1890-1930 silk floral prints. The group is in good/fair condition with a few of the books showing signs of wear. The samples are in good condition with age related wear. This Textile Swatch Books collection was the property from a well known NYC textile and garment design archive which provided design and concept inspiration to fashion and textile designers around the world for more than 25 years.
