Description
2 Antique Baby Quilts with Ruffles. The group includes 1 antique 1 Patch baby quilt with sashing and corner stones. It is hand pieced and quilted with a new machine applied ruffled edge, as well as a thin cotton batting and a plain cotton back. It measures 37” high by 30” wide (ruffle edge included) and is in fair condition with some conservation efforts, spots, and deteriorated fabric. The modern ruffled edge has primitive workmanship. Also included is 1 antique Drunkards Path childrens quilt with a ruffled edge. It is machine pieced and hand quilted, it has no batting and is backed in a black and white cotton print. It measures 45.5” wide by 59” long (ruffle included in measurements). It is in fair condition with several holes, spots, and deterioration to the fabric. From a Wisconsin Collector.
