Description
Antique 1851 Woven Figured and Fancy Coverlet by AMC is red and off white, and features glorious eagles, deer, other birds, leaves, pears, scrolls, flowers, and architectural elements. It is medallion style with the rosette in a star in the center. Double weave. It measures 80×97″. Each corner is woven the date 1851. There is an empty box along one side, the other side the box has the initials AMC. I have been unable to determine the weaver. There is no fringe, and no center seam. It is in good condition with only a few small pulls, the lighter side has overall toning. From a NY Collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
